Assessment of axial rotational alignement of radius and ulna
Summary / Zusammenfassung
We have designed an experimental sudy to measure the axial rotational alignement of both the radius and ulna. 25 subjects will be assessed with MRI and a method combining fluoroscopy and gravity goniometer to compare bone landmarks indicating the dregree of axial rotational alignement of both forearm bones. Statistical analysis will assess if rotational alignement is comparable on both sides within the same subject and to compare bone MRI and fluoroscopy/gravity goniometer among subjects.
This assessment is of clinical relevance in the preoperative planning of osteotomy of the forearm in patients suffering rotational malunions
