| Title / Titel | Clinical Relevance of rotator cuff status on outcome of the Delta III reverse-ball-and socket total | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Abstract (PDF, 14 KB) | |||||
| Summary / Zusammenfassung | Data existst that supports the teres minor as being important for external rotation following shoulder arthroplasty with a reverse prosthesis. As the Delta is used in instances of irreparable cuff tears, it primarily relies on the deltoid for function. The deltoid cannot restore ER. We will examine if there is a correlation between cuff tear combinations and certain subjective and objective outcomes. We will also relate Goutallier stage of cuff with subjective and objective outcomes. This may lend value to the necessity for a tendon transfer. | ||||
